The CEO, Arjun Saroya, comes with a wealth of experience in startups and the energy efficiency space.

SkyCool’s technology is based on breakthrough research from Stanford University and is also the subject of a wildly popular TED Talk. It represents a radical shift in how we approach cooling. Their products—available as rooftop films and modular panels—harness a natural phenomenon called radiative sky cooling. By reflecting sunlight and emitting heat through the “atmospheric window,” SkyCool materials radiate heat to outer space, even under direct sunlight. SkyCool films allow roofs to be 40-50 degree cooler than conventional roofs and cooling systems to reject heat at 1/2 to 1/10th the electricity and water cost of today’s 100 year old technology. Their scalable modular solutions address the $20B in electricity and $30B in water we spend in the US annually, to just dump heat into our backyards. SkyCool’s products are already in use at grocery stores, cold storage facilities, warehouses, and big box retailers.
